OUR STORY - The Journey Behind Tazawan

A Decade of Learning, Farming & Building

Tazawan wasn't built in a boardroom. It was built in the fields.

Inspired by Dr. Subash Palekar's Natural Farming philosophy, M. Showri Jojappa, Founder began practicing Natural Farming on a 10-acre farm in 2015. What began as a personal commitment to grow healthy food soon became a deeper journey of understanding the challenges faced by Indian Farmers, consumers, and the environment.

After a successful 12-year corporate career, he chose to dedicate himself full-time to agriculture. Over the next several years, he worked closely with farmers, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), and tribal communities, gaining first-hand experience in regenerative farming, sustainable supply chains, and the realities of India's food system.

In 2025, Krishna Veni joined as Co-Founder, bringing valuable experience from working with tribal communities in Araku to improve livelihoods through sustainable sourcing and value addition. Together, they shared a common vision of creating a food system that benefits both people and nature.

These experiences led to the founding of Tazawan Organic Farms with a mission to build India's trusted regenerative agriculture ecosystem that empowers farmers, enables healthier and trusted food choices for families, and restores the planet for future generations.

🌱 2015 Started Practicing Natural Farming

• Inspired by the Natural Farming philosophy of Dr. Subash Palekar
• Began practicing Natural Farming on a 10-acre farm

💼 2018 A Life-Changing Decision

• Founded Sendriya Farmz

🚀 2020 National Recognition Begins

• Selected for MANAGE – Centre for Innovation & Agripreneurship (CIA) Startup Incubation Program
• Became a Semi-Finalist at Eureka! 2020, IIT Bombay's entrepreneurship competition

🏆 2021 Validation & Support (Incubation)

• Received a ₹10 Lakh Agripreneurship Grant through MANAGE – CIA
• Selected for the Deshpande Startups EDGE Incubation Program

🌿 2024 Tazawan Organic Farms was Founded

• Established Tazawan Organic Foods Pvt. Ltd.
• Launched the Tazawan Organic Farms brand
• Opened the Tazawan Experience Store in Hyderabad
• Started Online Store www.tazawan.com

🛒 2025 Growing Consumer Trust

• Expanded a curated portfolio of naturally grown and transparently sourced products
• Krishna Veni joined as Co-Founder, strengthening community engagement and sustainable sourcing initiatives
